Memory Verse, January 15

Over at Beth Moore's blog, two thousand women have posted verses they will meditate on for the next two weeks. That blows my mind. I've chosen the verse below to mull over the next few weeks. It speaks to me about the importance of prayer in these last days. I often need to be reminded that there is never "nothing I can do". God is always willing to hear the prayers of His people.

May you feel His grace today,
Gail W.

The last Word:
The end of all things is near. Therefore, be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray.
1 Peter 4:7, NIV

Thanks for posting that verse...timely word. The end of all things is near. It helps us to sift through our priorities and focus on those that really, really matter.

Mine is one I posted about a few days ago.

"This is what the LORD says: 'Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is and walk in it so that you can find rest for your souls. But you said, 'We will not walk in it.'" (jeremiah 6:16).

Working hard to work it into my mind and heart this week.

Happy weekend.

Glad I popped in I forgot to pick my mid Jan. verse. I'm so glad we have the Holy Spirit to help with reminding us of things---I seem to have a lot of brain burps in life right now. :)

Wow, Gail! I needed to read this verse. I am sort of laughing...wondering, if I try and pray when I am not clear minded...then what? I know the Holy Spirit intercedes...thank GOD, seriously! I love it!
